Never Lose Hope!
When I find myself at a location where I have been photographing for the whole day and the resulting images had not reached my expectations and I start to leave the place with the prospect of an unproductive day…I don’t give up. It always comes to my mind the several times that feeling depressed about it I packed up my equipment and ironically something special happens.
It is in those moments that I encorage myself to uplift my awareness, don’t lose hope and stick to my camera and lenses until it is really over. As His Holiness the Dalai Lama said, “The situation becomes hopeless only when you lose hope”.
So, rather than get frustrated when the weather is poor or the light is not particularly suitable to work with, I look for a different point of view, details, patterns and textures, etc…
Making a state of atention and clarity my default mode so I won’t miss late surprises that I’m sure there will be.
Leaving Mont Saint-Michel, an unexpected and glorious rainbow appeared in the sky frameing the shadow of the abbey and its pilgrims.
Fantastic photo with lucky opportunity to capture a bird inside magnificent rainbow. Well done.
Thanks again Ramanlal.
